The main objective of the European ENERWATER Project is to develop, validate and disseminate an innovative standard methodology to evaluate, label and improve the overall energy performance of wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). To this end, a collaboration framework was established between the water treatment sector, including research groups, SMEs, water management companies, town councils and authorities from the water sector and industry.
This project also aims to establish a path to achieve the European Union’s energy reduction targets for 2020, guaranteeing the quality of effluent water, environmental protection and compliance with the Water Framework Directive (WFD).
In addition to the ENERWATER Project main results, the programme includes a panel discussion with prominent representatives of the water and energy sector such as Andrea Rubini (Director of Operations at the European Water Technology Platform (WssTP)) and Bertrand Vallet (Policy Officer at the European Federation of National Associations of Water Services (EurEau)).
This event is aimed at utilities, water company managers, water policy makers and academics. Admission is free but due to limited space capacity, we recommend that you register as soon as possible and before 18 October.
