Seville, October 18th. Wellness Telecom, a pioneer in efficient and sustainable solutions for Smart cities and territories, was chosen to receive the InnovaCiudad Award at the close of the SmartCity Business Medellín event in Colombia.
This event marks the first time the InnovaCiudad Award has been presented in Colombia. Through this award, the Smart City Business Colombia organization aims to recognize initiatives that improve the quality of life in cities. The esteemed award was presented to projects and initiatives carried out by public administration, private companies and residents alike, that have made a tangible, positive impact on urban living.
Wellness Telecom was among the award recipients due to their contribution to the citizen safety and security project carried out by the Seville City Council last April. The project took place during Holy Week in Seville, a traditional holiday that attracts over one million visitors to the city and fills the streets with crowds all day and night. Connected to an intelligent horizontal platform and integrated with cognitive video platforms, the Wellness Telecom Smart city lighting solution ensured that the city was secure and citizens were kept safe during the local festival.
